A community for people moving for good
Moving permanently to another country takes years, several applications, and a lot of waiting. The StudyImmigration community connects people on the same route so you can learn from those a step ahead, share what you've learned, and keep each other informed when the rules change.
Ask a question
Stuck on a form, a document, or a deadline? Ask people who filed the same application recently.
Ask the community →Share your timeline
Post your dates for each step, from application to decision. Real timelines help others plan far better than official averages.
Share a timeline →Flag a rule change
Saw a new fee, form, or rule on an official site? Post the link so we can update the guides and alert everyone affected.
Report a change →Introduce yourself
Say where you're moving from and to, and which route you're on. Find people a step ahead of you, or help someone a step behind.
Say hello →Find people on your route
Mention your route in your posts so others on the same path can find them. Start with one of these common routes.

Community guidelines
- Share experience, not legal advice
- Say what happened in your case. For decisions about your own case, talk to a licensed professional.
- Protect your privacy
- Never post receipt numbers, A-numbers, UCI numbers, passport numbers, or anyone's full name.
- No selling
- No paid services, referral links, or "guaranteed visa" offers. Posts promoting them are removed and repeat offenders banned.
- Cite official sources
- When you mention a rule or fee, link the government page so others can check it.
- Be kind
- Everyone here is dealing with stress, distance, and uncertainty. Assume good faith and help newcomers.
Help keep the guides accurate
Immigration lawyers, licensed consultants, registered migration agents, and people who recently completed a route: we're looking for reviewers who can check our guides against current rules and contributors who can write about routes we don't cover yet.
- Review guides for your country or specialty
- Write about a route you completed first-hand
- Translate key guides into other languages
